A Decade of God’s faithfulness!

Three generations celebrating!

Ginger Howard Selections celebrated our ten year anniversary this week-end, and I am in awe of the faithfulness of God.  I started this shop on a wing and a prayer, and I had no idea what I was getting into.  I started in a recession and then September 11th happened.  We have had several recessions since, and there were times when I did not think we were going make it. There were times I would go to the shop when it was closed and get on my knees and pray. I would have to continually remind myself that this was God’s shop and it was His to do with as He pleased.  I have prayed since the inception that it would be used as a ministry to bless others. I believe God has answered that prayer in so many ways.

Friday night, I had a small gathering of family and friends to celebrate the goodness and faithfulness of God.  My mom, aunt, and ninety- seven year old Na Na were here.  My brothers could not be here for good reasons, but my sweetest sister-in-law surprised me and showed up in the middle of party with my precious angel baby twin nephews.  I was overjoyed! It meant the world to me that she would drive all this way by herself and let those babies stay up way past there bedtime for me.  The party was full of rejoicing, and my dear neighbor and friend, Chuck Johnston prayed for the next ten years that God would continue to bless the work of my hands.

I am so thankful for all of my wonderful employees, past and present.  Each of them has invested in the success of the store.  My customers also have become dear and loyal friends.  I am so grateful for their patronage over the years.  I am truly overcome with emotion as I reflect on God’s provision for me and this business.

I look forward to seeing what the LORD will continue to do as I begin the next chapter in our store as we venture to start an e-commerce store.  This is another leap of faith and trusting His wisdom and guidance as we grow.

My shop is a true testimony that God can take water and turn it into wine.  I asked him to do that over ten  years ago, and I am so grateful to Him for all He has accomplished.
